Yes, I could. This song always puts me in a good mood. And God, I just want to ravage Dierks Bentley.

Respect, tolerance and heritage pride
It's almost midnight and I'm here the only one awake. I find that I do prefer to blog late at night when everyone's asleep. So I'm just listening to some music right now. A playlist mix of some country songs and some other favorites. I can see Nick shaking his head right now. He hates my taste in music, and vice versa... lol. I really can't stand the type of music he likes... a lot of 70's/80's rock. Oh, excuse me, he says it's 'Classic Rock.' Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to our days hanging out and hitting up the antique shops and beach this summer.
So what do I feel like blogging about tonight? Hmmm something deep like politics or spirituality OR something like... tomatoes? lol hmmmm
Tonight's topic is -- respect and tolerance for others and allowing people to show pride in who they are and where they came from.
I so often see/hear Americans finding it offensive or wrong when others show pride in their heritage and/or country of birth. Just because they are now in America, must they not be proud of where they came from? It's a part of who they are. I believe that showing pride in country is an honorable thing and pride in country can extend to country of birth or any other country their heart feels connected to. Whether you are Greek, Mexican or Chinese, if you are proud, then be proud. I mean, don't go overboard and do it in a tacky or disrespectful way. Well, I'm sure "tacky & disrespectful" is in the eye of the beholder but yea, yknow what I mean!
Love your heritage, love who you are and where you came for. Your blood, your country, your struggles... your people. Some Americans may never truly understand because they lack the empathy or ability to relate. But, I still think they should try to. :) And if they can't, then practice being tolerant and respectful. Goodnight.

Sunbursts Sweet Golden Snacking Tomatoes
I've always avoided eating raw tomatoes growing up but for the last couple of years I tried to tolerate them more. I still didn't care for how they tasted but one day when I was grocery shopping, I grabbed a container of these cute yellow tomatoes and thought, "lets give these a try."
And oh boy, just one taste and I was like, "where have you been all my life?!?" lol It's now one of my favorite sides and addition to raw dishes. I don't like them cooked though. I also love some of the local organically grown tomatoes. I look forward to planting some of these yellow babies next year! *^_^*

James Bay ~ Let It Go
From walking home and talking loads
To seeing shows in evening clothes with you
From nervous touch and getting drunk
To staying up and waking up with you
But now we're slipping at the edge
Holding something we don't need
All this delusion in our heads
Is gonna bring us to our knees
So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me
From throwing clothes across the floor
To teeth and claws and slamming doors at you
If this is all we're living for
Why are we doing it, doing it, doing it anymore?
I used to recognize myself
It's funny how reflections change
When we're becoming something else
I think it's time to walk away
So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me
Trying to fit your hand inside of mine
When we know it just don't belong
There's no force on earth
Could make it feel right, no
Whoa
Trying to push this problem up the hill
When it's just too heavy to hold
Think now's the time to let it slide
So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Let the ashes fall
Forget about me
Come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me

Donald Trump
Hello, world. :) I decided to *finally* start blogging again. I'm hoping to use this platform as a place that I can blog about my thoughts in regards to things not related to my private life. Just a place where I can say what's on my mind; my thoughts and opinions on things such as humanity and human nature, people, god - religions and spirituality, love & life and things on this beautiful planet of ours and beyond. I'll likely also talk about politics, governments, countries and cultures. The good, the bad and the ugly. But I'll always believe that the power of good will always unite to overcome evil. And speaking of evil, my first blog post will be about Donald Trump.
Now Donald Trump, I knew very quickly that he would win the Republican presidential nomination. He's the type of powerful man that can influence a certain group of people; small-minded rednecks that hates Obama. Donald Trump is also a smart business man who knows how to promote himself on social media. He's overall a very dangerous man because he influences people to hate. And hate creates a dangerous society. First off, I used to like Donald Trump. I enjoyed his show 'The Apprentice' and I admired his daughter Ivanka Trump. I think she's a beautiful and classy women. Well-educated, well-spoken, a successful business woman, a wife and mom. I know she supports her father because she loves and believes in him.
Donald Trump will not "Make America Great Again." He will make America Hate Again. He will not unite this country. He will make Americans fear/hate Muslims. Racism will grow. Immigration laws will get worse than it already is. The poor will struggle more. The ignorant will stay ignorant. Mr. Trump is not knowledgeable enough to tackle presidential issues such as our economy, foreign affairs, education, immigration, health care, gun control, war, the environment, and everything... I would not trust him on most issues because he's not a politician. And, quite frankly, he's just not a man of good moral character nor does he have a strong sense of empathy or compassion.
His supporters seems like the type of people who only care about themselves and fellow American Citizens (particularly white citizens). His supporters are the type of people who I can see say, "well, what's in it for me?" His supporters are selfish, greedy, hateful, they have a sense of superiority because they feel like others who are different from them are less deserving. I want a president who cares about America as a whole, a president who cares about everyone... the rich and the poor and everyone else in between. The undocumented and the documented. Those who live here and love this country wholeheartedly ARE Americans.
Well, it's almost 1am and my tea is starting to get cold. Maybe I shouldn't be blogging so late but everyone is sleeping so it's a good time to blog. :)
So what else would I like to say in regards to Donald Trump? Well, of course I don't like him as a presidential candidate. I'm a democrat and I love Obama. But, I've always been one with a strong mind and strong opinion. I'm not easily influence by hate or persuaded with fear. I'm a woman who believes in the power of a strong mind and courage. I strongly believe in the power of good. The power of love and kindness. And when I'm talking about love and kindness, don't fuckin' mistake me for a pansy. I believe that we need to fight the good fight against evil such as ISIS. Our brave men & women makes America great.
America is great because of the caring, hard-working, knowledgeable, charitable and good people.
To make America even better we must fix our immigration system, improve our schools, focus on inner city poverty & violence, raise wages, affordable healthcare for all, take care of our environment, take care of the elderly, homeless, veterans, disabled, better gun control, strengthen our economy, improve social and family issues, and will anyone truly focus on mental health?! And, most importantly, we must remember that our children is our future.
Donald Trump will not unite this country. He will divide this country and bring abouts chaos, hate, and more struggles.
Goodnight.
