Yesterday was a very good day in his developmental progression. I had tried different things to see how he would react/respond to the situation and he quickly learned what he should do to overcome an issue. Like he was feeding himself some goldfish crackers off the coffee table so I took his hand every time he took a cracker and I put the cracker in my mouth instead. At first he was just grunted in frustration but after me doing it a few times, he grabbed the cracker quickly off the table and turned away and ran a few steps while putting the cracker in his mouth. He gave me a big sly grin. <3 I tried to take the crackers away from him a few more times but he was very good at showing awareness and ability to maneuver quickly against my actions. Overall, his awareness is improving day by day.
He also got a new toy today. He likes it so far. I think this will help greatly in times when he needs to calm himself down.
We'll be spending more time on his basic sign language this weekend. Unfortunately, his therapist was not able to make it today due to the snow storm which resulted in the closing of her office for the day. It's been a couple weeks since he's seen her due to the holidays. He currently only gets 1 hour/week of therapy but when he turns 3 it will drastically increase. Oki, that's all for now.
p.s. His hair this morning! ):D
